Glen Howell, 79, of Palmdale, California, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born in Arkoma, Oklahoma on August 18, 1938, the son of William Jefferson and Allie Rea (Robbins) Howell. In 1960, he married Linda Fay Harrison, from Bakersfield, CA and the couple shared 60 years together. They were long time owner/operators of automotive repair businesses in the antelope valley. After retiring from Four Point Garage in 2000, Glen focused on his love of the sport of hillclimbing motorcycles through his GSS Race Porting business until the time of his passing. Glen was an active member in the Anaheim El Bekal Shrine, San Bernadino Scottish Rite, and Palmdale Masonic Lodge.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Linda and their four children, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and his brother's family. Children: Donna Poulton, her husband, William, of Lemoore, CA, John Howell, his wife, Donna Winham, of Ames, IA, Michael Howell of Bisbee, AZ, and Joanne Grove, her husband, Charles, of Bakersfield, CA. Grandchildren: Laurel Poulton Browning, Alina Poulton Grayeske, Charles “Chaz” Grove, Brianna Grove, Brooklyn Grove, Maggie Gonzalez, and great-grandchild: Glendon David Browning. Other relatives include his sister-in-law Elizabeth "Betty" Howell, nephew Joseph W. Howell, and his wife, Thelma, of Omaha, NE. Glen was pre-deceased by his parents and brothers, Billy Wayne of Buckeye, AZ, and Johnny Lee of Los Angeles, CA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 2:00 pm at the Palmdale Masonic Lodge #769, at 2231 East Avenue Q, Palmdale, CA 93550.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
